CA Engineering was founded in 1992 by Casiano Ancalle as a one-person office in his home in Puerto Rico. Over the past 30 years, we have established a group of specialized water engineers with experience ranging from recent graduates to subject matter experts. Each member in our small team brings a diverse range of skills and expertise to the table. We have a proven history of providing quality engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients.
Mr. Ancalle founded CA Engineering in 1992 and currently serves as its president and chief engineer. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Puerto Rico, Maryland, the Virgin Islands, and Virginia. He is a certified Professional Hydrologist with the American Institute of Hydrology.
Mr. Ancalle has over 45 years of experience, having managed hundreds of projects in the U.S. and abroad. He is considered one of the foremost hydrologists in Puerto Rico and Bolivia. He is a subject matter expert in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, water/wastewater, groundwater, and hydro-chemistry. He has worked in public and private sectors across several countries and served as expert witness in multiple cases.
Mr. Acevedo joined CA Engineering in 1998 and is currently a senior engineer with the company. He is a U.S. Army veteran with more than 30 years of experience in water resources engineering. He manages flood control studies and oversees the preparation of construction plans for projects in Puerto Rico.
Mrs. Dávila joined CA Engineering in 2005 and is currently a senior engineer with the company. She has over 15 years of experience in water resources engineering. She is the company's expert hydraulic modeler and oversees the development of hydrologic & hydraulic models for projects in Puerto Rico.
David Ancalle, PE
David Ancalle joined CA Engineering in 2018 and is currently a project manager. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and DC. He is a certified Level II Design Professional with the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
He has eight years of experience in water resources engineering. He manages projects and business development in Georgia and Florida. He has worked in the private sector in several states and served as expert witness in stream disturbance cases.
Mr. Smith joined CA Engineering in 2020 and is currently a project engineer with the company. He has two years of experience in water resources engineering. He performs hydrologic & hydraulic studies, GIS analyses, and sanitary sewer assessments.
